"Stop here, Ori get a fire going." You look back to see where the voice came form, your eyes land on a man with a very short stature, with an angry sneer on his face. That man is none other than the mighty Thorin Oakenshield. The most moody person you've ever met. You smile at the Idea.
"What are you so happy about, lass?" says one of the two of the dwarves. You look down to see two long haired dwarfs, with a curious look in their eyes.
"Oh, nothing much. Just happy to be here." The smell of a campfire fills the air, bringing back memories of when your family used to play cards by the fire. You take a seat on a log by the fire, and the two dwarf brothers sit next to you. An idea pops into your head. You reach down into your pack, and pull out a deck of cards. The two dwarves Fili and Kili set their heads on your shoulders.
"What do you have there lass?"
"Well, Fili I have what is known as a deck of cards." The rest of the thirteen dwarfs and one hobbit turn their heads to noise coming from the trouble making trio.
"And what do you do with said cards?"
"Well, Kili one can do a lot with them. One can make a tower, play games, and win some money. One can also make someone do silly dares with them." you look at the brothers with a smirk. You shuffle around readjusting your sitting position.
"What kind of games can you play with them?" asks the hobbit of the group, walking closer.
"Well, I only know of a few such as, poker, Rummy, baseball, and solitaire. So, which one do you want to play?" You shift again favoring one leg.
"What's wrong?" asks Bilbo, the sweetest of the group.
"Ah, just a little bit of a leg cramp. Hey, Ori. Can you hand me the salt?"
"Sure, here."
"No, wait. What for?" Thorin asks as he grabs the salt out of Ori's hand.
"It's to take care of my leg cramp. I'm not going to salt your water. Why don't you like me so much, I've been nothing but helpful. Treating your wounds, and helping you cook. What reason have I given you to detest my presence as much as you do? Is it because I'm not a dwarf? Is that why I don't belong here?" you look at him with angry eyes, he refuses to look at you. the rest of the dwarfs try to calm you down with nice words, but the only words you wanted to hear were being denied. In a rage you stand up, and blurt out.
"If you don't want me around, then why don't I leave! I hope at least that will make you feel better. I hope you fall to the same greed your grandfather did!" You grab your pack, and sling it over your shoulder. Bilbo walks up to you.
"Please don't go. We all value your presence here."
"No, I was never meant to be on this quest with you guys in the first place." Fili and Kili run up behind you and grab your arms begging you to stay. You twist your arm out of their hold, and look back at the company.
"Goodbye."
