Prompt Fun

Prompt: Rainy days

Rain. Physically one of her least favorite weather shifts, but mentally one of her favorites. She always thought that when it rained, it would bring a beautiful day in its wake. Unfortunately these past few days have been nothing short of depressing, with the rain showing no sign of stopping. She had tried to keep herself busy with cooking and baking, but nothing was working. And so she sat on the couch depressed, looking out the window.

"What are you doing, babe?" Kidd's voice sounds off in the background.

"Nothing much, just being depressed, while watching the rain." She turns around to face him. Oil stains decorate his shirt along with a few smears on his face and strong arms. He looks and walks over to her. He stops just in front of her, and looks at her with no emotion. Fearing the worst, she quickly got up and hugged him, thinking she depressed him. He quickly returned the hug and gently placed his chin on her head. With his arms encircling her waist and her head on his chest, for a few moments they stood there, enjoying each others pleasant warmth. An idea shifts its way into Kidds thick skull, before moving his hands up, missing his arms around her, she lets out a small whine. He quickly silences her by giving her a long, slow kiss. Her hands slowly creep up to tangle in his crimson locks. While his hand creep up slowly for a different reason. He ends the kiss and places his forehead on hers. She looks at him in a daze. As if replaying the kiss, she is quickly ripped out of her daze by the fingers of her loved one tickling her. Her laugh echos through out the house. The once dreary atmosphere fades away, as the woman tries to pry his digits off of her.

They both look at each other, their eyes filled with love.

  "Stay."

He smiles picking her up and sitting down on the couch with her in his lap.

Smiling, she leans into him. Enjoying his natural warmth.

They stayed like that, enjoying the rainy weather. In each others arms.

'Maybe rainy days aren't so bad, after all.'
